Katie Humphrey is our Education Coordinator. As such she works alongside Miss Liz to ensure the smooth day to day operation of Bloom. Katie oversees the professional development of our faculty, as well as monitoring the monthly lesson plans used by our teachers, wherein they meld the LifeWays/Waldorf approach with the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards.

Katie has a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science, with a concentration in Childcare Settings.

After several years of experience as a Lead Preschool Teacher elsewhere, she accepted the role of Assistant Teacher here at Bloom, because the warm environment and the emphasis on time outdoors struck her as what children (and she herself) need in in order to (er, sorry) BLOOM! After just a few months in this role, we pulled her into the office as our EC. Katie is incredibly organized and forward thinking. She has a strong work ethic and an absolute "can do" attitude. She has a bounce in her step and a smile on her face every day, ready to take on whatever life (or toddlers) may throw her way.

Katie is a devoted dog mom and an avid boater and runner.
